The project was presented to the Oxnard Parks and Recreation Commission meeting to share the work being done and to invite the community of South Oxnard to join us for the garden installation. Free boulders were located, collected, and delivered for visual interest in the garden.

My collaborators and I attended the Garden Task Force meeting held by the City of Oxnard's Parks and Recreation division. We made great progress in spreading the word about the project and our ultimate desire for this to be a community involvement project.
Another successful First Saturday occurred. We cleaned up, hung banners and washed headstones. Join us the first Saturday of each Month through October!
We spoke at the City Council meeting tonight for the purpose of spreading the word about the Monarch Festival. You can see the video listed under the July 24the 6:00 PM meeting here.

A proposal was submitted to the Ocean View School District asking if they would like to partner with us on this project.
Agromin approved our request for the donation of bio-mulch for the first phase of the planting project. Yay! Now we need helpers to spread! If you would like to help check out our EVENTS page for more information.
We met with an Ocean View School representative to discuss their potential involvement and use in a learning garden to be located in the SW corner of the cemetery lot. A proposal must be sent to the district seeking permission to work as collaborators. More information to come.
